Well I got my wish. This is Kristin's book and like Sybil and Raife's I loved every single minute of it. This book takes place just a bit after Darrow is injured in the first book and before Raife and Sybil's reconciliation.

It was fun to see how things happened in the first book behind the scenes as it were. How everything went about and how Donal was truly in cahoot with Kristin to make Raife talked to Sybil so she could explain.

I was convinced by this story's development as they were looking for a cure since book one. And the way it was told it was truly believable. I was transported to the time this book took place and I felt the chemistry between Donal and Kristen from the beginning. And as with book one I like the fact that they didn't just fall onto bed together the first chance they got (although it was faster than Raife and Sybil, maybe because it was a shorter story) but it still hot as heck when they did.

I liked how both books were interwoven and at the same time were completely apart. I really would have liked to get more books in the series (Lorein for example) but I think it's a trilogy with Highland Wolf Pact: Blood Reign been the last one.

I can't wait for the last book but I'll still pray for more books.

This story had a lot of acronyms attached to it, among then been OMG and WTF. I couldn't read it fast enough (I'm not a fast reader plus I had to work) but it was worth every moment I spent on it.

Charley is still witty and fun and charismatic. She is still 100 percent team Reyes (yes lady keep your eyes over there not my Swopes) and still been the best consultant for the police department in between doing her private investigator stuff and helping the dead find closure.

I think Cookie should ask for more payment! She is a miracle worker and a fast researcher. But when this two get together there is some strong friendship in there even if Cooks is older than Charley. I think their friendship gives the story a more sentimental value than anything else and I don't think this books would work without that.

As for poor Reyes, that guy is more screwed with a capital F than any one person should. But he is the son of Satan after all so I don't think he can have it all sunshine and flowers. I just think the dude should get at least one break from all the crazy.

I can wait for more of this series and more of my man Swopes!

It is said, "never judge a book by its review". I confess that I just read one single review of this book and it was a bad one. I decided to try it then. When I'm trying to start a new author or a very popular series I tend to look for the worst reviews I can find so that way I won't be disappointed if I don't like the book. But can you believe that hasn't happened yet? I think I go in expecting the worst and end up enjoying everything about the story because of it.

This book was so outrageously funny it wasn't even funny (lol). Charley was witty, fun and quick to make fun of herself. She didn't let people get her down and was always getting in trouble. I don't think that girl is right in the head. I mean Danger and Will Robinson, really?

I am in lurve with Swopes, I don't care what you say that man is swoon-worthy and I  want him all to myself, so Charley girl keep your hands to yourself if you don't want to lose them and back off my man, you have Reyes.

As for Reyes, all I can say is just poor chap. I hope everything works out for him.

That my friend is the start of the best journey I've had in quite a while and let me tell you it is a journey you cannot miss. I can't even put into words how much I liked this book. From the very beginning there is action, adventure and a slew of other thing that will grab your interest and not let you go even when the story is finished.

This is the story of Persephone and Hades like you've never seen it before. It is a different story than what you are used to and that is part of the allure. Plus everything in the story has a purpose. You won't even guess how it all ends. It is one surprise after the other and it leaves you wanting more.

I like that Persephone is attracted to Hades and even tho she is only 16 (until the end of the story when she turns 17) she was not obsessing about him and making the story revolve around that "how do I make him like me; am I wearing to much make up? Too little?" insecurities other teen books I've read focus on.

I can't wait to read the next book and see what else is in store for this two characters (that little excerpt at the end has me needing more, it was not enough!)

This book made my think of the Hungover movie. Kane and Delilah wake up with no memory of the last 24 hours and need to retrace their steps to figure out how they ended up married on the honeymoon suite of the Crown Palace hotel and with bags full of money.

It was very funny watching this two try to make sense of what they did the previous day/night.

"You beat up a boxer for me," Delilah said as people passed them, blinking as if she could hardly believe it.
He'd be affronted if he could believe it either. "You promised to still be impressed if I get arrested for you?"
The corners of her mouth curled upward, that impish, too-damn-sexy grin of hers forming at a slow, delicious pace. She sashayed forward in the line, looking at him over her shoulder in what could only be called sinful temptation. "I always did have a secret thing for bad boys."

It was also a read full of touching and romantic moments. With a little sprinkling of sad, heartbreaking ones.

Kane was determined to show Delilah they would be good together and Delilah for her part was confused as what to do since she was supposed to be married to Kane's best friend.

I wanted to read Craig's story (Kane's BFF) but I think the author gaved up after this one book :( But I will hold hope that she will eventually write it.

ARC Review: The Beautiful One by Emily Greenwood

This is a new author to me and I fell in love with Emily Greenwood's writing. This is a very unique story and it had me wishing I was a faster reader so I could devour the book in one sit but now that is over I want it to never have ended!

Anna went into hiding after finding there is a book of nude drawings featuring herself. She was spied on and she knows if that book is connected to her she will be ruined. She ends up going to a school for girls and changing her name from Anna Black Bistrol to to just plain Anna Black. She ends up becoming the companion to Elizabeth Tariton the Viscount Grandville's ward in her journey to Stillwell.

Anna's journey to finding love and helping Will come out of his funk and become the Viscount he was meant to be was heart moving and at times just too funny. I was surprised by the French Letter (condom) and had to look it up online. It is quite interesting to learn about new things. I didn't know condoms were that old! LOL I think what Will did with the tower for Anna at the end was really sweet and I'm glad everything worked for her.

I look forward to the next book on the series which I hope it is Lizzie and Tommy's. In the mean time I have three more books to read by this author.
