Another brilliant story by our beloved Kerrelyn Sparks.

In this story we have Quincy Stanton, the bastard son of the Earl of Dearlinton (I hope I got that right as I don't have my book in hand right now ^_^). All his life Quin has felt unwanted and tried to make up for it by pleasing his uncle fearing he might abandon him too. After returning from England from an unpleasant stay with his father he is asked by his uncle to pose as a Loyalist in order to spy on them and learned the true reason behind the redcoats being on American soil. But what he didn't count on was on the fact that lovely Virginia Munro will step on his way and have more success than him.

Ginny's widowed aunt Mary after being forced to marry a Loyalist against her wishes decides to take matters in her hands and convinces her niece to spy on the Loyalists to help the Colonials on their cause. After accidentally learning some useful information from a drunken Colonel (or was he a Captain?) and letting her aunt know of it, Mary relays it to Edward Stanton, Quin's uncle. When Quin hears of it hi knows is Ginny behind it and tries to convince her to let it be least she finds herself hanged.

In the ensuing battle of wills Ginny and Quin find themselves attracted to each other and unwilling to let the other have its way.

I loved this books plot. Very different to anything I've read and with a small twist of mystery. Although I knew who the bad guy was there was a time or two where I thought it was someone else.

Tell McKay, the most "less" McKay of the bunch trying to step out of the shadow of his family makes some big life decisions on his teens after being used multiple times by his crush Georgia "Hot Lips" Hotchkiss. When years later she comes into his life again will he be able to stick to does decisions or is he and will he always be unable to say no to the love of his life?

Georgia just wants to get her job done and get out of Sundance, Wyoming as soon as the rodeo season is over. But before she goes she wants to show her ex that she has a new better life without him. To do this she employs the help of Tell and in the interim between the class reunion and her leaving she has to make the difficult choice of going back to her boring old life or stay in Wyoming with Tell and build a new one with friend and fun in her life.

It is an explosive summer in which Tell and Georgia shows us that love when is pure and true can transcend live experiences and withstand the passing of time to give us time to mature. I love this story because it kind of reminds me of my own life (although without the hunk waiting for me back home ^_^). I really like Mrs. James' stories and I can wait for the next one that I'm hoping is Dalton's.

I confess that I had to go back to the first book to see if the timelines were correct. I just didn't remember any mention on Warner and am glad to say that it was there just very brief and with all the drama going with Lex you get why it slipped my notice.

I've bee dying to read this story as I was crazy to see a man strong enough to rope Taddy and give her the firm hand and no-nonsense attitude that she needed to not walk all over him but at the same time be strong enough to give her the free rein to be herself. To be that strong independent woman she is.

I was so sadden by her childhood and what her mother did. But more so what her father did. She loved her so much, why did that needs changing? If she was his for so many years, why does it matter what's in her blood? Sometime people can be so dumb.

I was sad for Warner too. Loosing his wife and all but I'm glad she made him a strong and loving man after all she did had more experience in life than him (I still can't get pass that!).

And last I can't wait for Blake's book! They just keep getting better.

Welcome Author! Tmonique Stephens

Welcome Tmonique to my blog. This inquiring mind wants to know; when you are looking for inspiration for a male character, where do you go and/or what do you do?

Thank you for having me on your blog. Where do I go when looking for inspiration for my male characters is an excellent question. Usually, the ideas for my male characters start as kernels in the back of my mind. As my plot advances, so does the image and qualities of my hero. I tend to favor men who are loyal and family orientated. I like writing about brothers. I find the bonds between men are just as strong and convoluted as are those between women. Exploring those bonds, stretching, tearing at the relationships is the center point of my Descendants of Ra series.

Only after I’ve nailed down the finer qualities and flaws of my hero’s character do I start looking inspiration. Pinterest, Tumblr, Bigstock, Istock, Depositphotos, I mine all of these sites for hot, sexy, men.

Here are a few of my finds.

Meet the Descendants of Ra:

Roman Nicolis (Hero of Eternity Book 1)
Blurb: Cursed for 2000 years, Roman Nicolis has tracked his lovers’ soul through each reincarnation only to lose her horribly every time. Reclaiming their love is his only salvation. He’s been her friend, her father, her neighbor, but never again her lover . . . until now.

Reign Nicolis (Hero of Everlasting Book 2)
Blurb: Kill the beast, save your brother, win your freedom from the Goddess of the Dead. No problem for a 2000 year old warrior. Falling in love with the cop trying to arrest you? Problem.

I need a time machine ASAP! I can't wait for the next book. It's just to far away.

Mrs. Tyler gives a new original twist to the werewolf concept, plus she has amazing skills at story telling. I can't believe this is my first time reading this author. I am definitively a new fan.

The story is about a journalist that will stop at nothing to get a story and an alpha that will stop at nothing to keep his pack safe, so you can imagine how this pair will be at each others neck.

There were times I thought I knew what was going to happen and then BAM! there goes my theory out the window. Which is something good because it made the reading interesting and difficult for me to put down. It was also a book that made me cry like a baby and if you know me you know that is a huge plus in my book.

All those hunks had me drooling! And made me look forward to the next book. At this point I'm in love with Cooper, Brooks, Brecker (Seriously, a moving car? What is the guy thinking!), Xander and of course Gage.

Paige honey one last thing for you, move it lady I want more!!!!

They’re on target
They’re as alpha as men can get

The Dallas SWAT team is hiding one helluva secret…they’re a pack of wolf shifters.

The team of elite sharpshooters is ultra-secretive—and also the darlings of Dallas. This doesn’t sit well with investigative journalist Mackenzie Stone. They must be hiding something…and she’s determined to find out what.

Keeping Mac at a distance proves impossible for SWAT team commander Gage Dixon. She’s smart, sexy, and makes him feel alive for the first time in years. But she’s getting dangerously close to the truth—and perilously close to his heart...

“We dropped Corporal Riggs off a few blocks out from the scene. He hoofed it in over the rooftops while we were getting into position outside. He went in and set up the remote cameras and microphones while everyone inside was focused on us and the other police officers.”

Riggs and Taylor stared at their commander, clearly shocked by how open he’d been about their tactics to a member of the media. Mac was stunned, too. She’d been fishing when she’d asked the question. She hadn’t expected them to actually answer her.

Dixon chuckled. “You don’t have to look so alarmed. It’s not like I shared state secrets. Besides, Ms. Stone will be coming by the compound later today to take a look around and see how we operate.”

Mac did a double take. “Seriously?”

His amber eyes met hers. “That’s what you wanted, isn’t it? An in-depth look at a day in the life of a SWAT officer?”

She was more interested in finding out if they were hiding something, but she didn’t tell him that.

“I figured if I didn’t make the offer, you’d only hang around outside the compound for months until I agreed to let you in. Or until you tried to sneak into the middle of the next hostage situation,” he said. “This way we can do our job without worrying about you popping up out of nowhere, and you get to do yours without risking your life.” She opened her mouth to thank him, but he held up a finger. “There’s one condition, though.”

     “Name it.”

“You agree not to detail any of our tactical procedures or techniques like the one I just told you about. You print those and you’ll get my team killed.” He lifted a brow. “Do we have an agreement?”

     Mac nodded eagerly. “Yes.”

She’d agree to whatever he wanted if it got her in the compound—even if it meant going back on her word later. Although, after today, she wasn’t sure there was a story. She seriously doubted these guys were doing drugs, regardless of what Marvin said. But that didn’t matter. No way was she passing up an opportunity like this.

“I’ll see you at the compound this afternoon then,” Dixon said as he opened the door for her. “Say three o’clock?”

She smiled up at him. “I’ll be there.”

Mac had to resist the urge to do a little happy dance as she hurried back to the news van. She wasn’t sure how it had happened, but somehow she’d gotten herself an engraved invitation to get up close and personal with the country’s most elite tactical unit—the Dallas PD SWAT.

     What can I say?

Even though it started a little bit slow for my taste, I LOVED IT!! This book got me mad, sad, happy and about a dozen more emotions. There where so many problems involving Julia and Crank. Julia's story in specific had me crying buckets. And Margo's too.

There is always to many faces to the same stories. What you see, what you hear and the truth. And it is sad to say that there are so many people out there with similar problems and not all come out of it as Julia did.

The only thing that would have made this book better was if we could have had the actual song Crank wrote for Julia (any of the two). But I guess that some author's just aren't that good at writing poetry? ^_^

I would must definitively recommend this book for anyone. It's just that moving. Now I'll go ahead and buy Just Remember to Breath and The Last Hour.

I would have given this book 4 stars if it wasn't for the language barrier between the author and myself. There were words that made impossible for me to enjoy the book. For example the author called the treatment room (she was a doctor) the surgery; when for me that is the word for an operation. I was more conserned in those moments with chaging the words for my understanding that with following the plot.

The rest it was good. A unique story with a unique plot. I would have liked to have more scenes between the MCs but I get that the story needed Ash to go so that the connection between them came to light and for Sally's natural curiosity had time to be explored. I liked that the story had time to develop before Ash and Sally got in bed togheter.

I saw that this story has a continuation with White Tiger but this book can stand alone. It is not left with a cliff-hanger. That been said White Tiger is definitively going to my TBR pile!

It was a good story but not something that grabbed my attention, at least not in the beggining. Once the story took off it was good. There were some parts a bit predictable (Huerta and Angel, the attempt escapt, and Drago finding them) but there were redeeming qualities too ( I did thought she was going to get fired and I was sure Angel would take her).

I liked that the story focused on the characters but also that it gave some airtime for other plausible stories (I wouldn't mind a story about Eva or Justus or Jackson). Another thing that I liked was the fact that it had more than the MCs POVs.

I would have liked to give this story more stars but as I said the beggining was a bit slow and it took me I while to warm up to the story. But if there is another book I wouldn't hesitate to read it.

The Intern
Rating: 4 Stars

This is some hot read in here. We have Lauren, a middle age woman who was abandoned by her husband and struggle to keep her practice opened and was succesful when she was able to partner with another doctor and share the financial burden. She is feeling lonely and in need of a stress reliever. When a colleague asks her to help with an intern she agrees without knowing that Courney is really Court and that he will awaken in her a long denied desire.

It was really fun to see this older woman try to hide her attraction to one of her employees. It was also fun how they tried to best each other when it came to make the other lustful. That scene of the exam room? Loved it! The only thing I didn`t like was that it was a HFN ending and that it as 1st person POV. I would really like to read more about Lauren, sppecially after that ending.

My Doctor, My Husband, and Me
Rating: 3 Stars

In this story we have a forty four year old married woman, who after nineteen years of been with the same man, is attracted to a man several years her junior. But what really attracts her attention is that in every fantasy her husband is there. And so after gathering up her courage Valerie proposes to Luka, her surgeon, and Elliot, her husband, to a menage.

It was really interesting to see how this woman past her youthful years deals with this new facet to her life. How she is afraid of hurting her husband even when he was unfaithful to her at one time. Valerie is also dealing with the fact that she is an older woman that might not be atractive enough for a young man like Luka.

I just would have like for the story to have more depth. The story consentrated to just the encounters of the threesome but didn't give any more background info of the characters. But overall it was a good story.

Sieze the Doctor
Rating: 5 Stars

I really enjoy this story. It made me laugh and it kind of reminded me of myself. That shy, introverted, awkward girl that is afrair of trying more bold, out-of-the-box things that might get her noticed. But unlike me, she did get over it and tried hard to be a completely diferent person.

I did tought their love came a little to qiuckly but it's more the fact that there was not much day-to-day details. The story skipped weeks at a time so the main characters could be together.

The story came full circle with the characters beeing in the GYN patient room. And that last encounter? Oh, it sudendly hot in here! Again it was a great story but I would have liked it to be longer with moe depth into the characters lives.

The Doctor is In Blog Tour

Book Description:

The doctor will see you now...
Three sizzling-hot erotic romance stories to stoke your mood

In The Intern, the temperature of Dr. Lauren Marks’s office quickly rises when her new medical intern Courtney turns out to be a passionate and sexy young man.

Valerie realizes all of her fantasies when her sexy surgeon and her loving husband team up to offer her some extra-special treatment in My Doctor, My Husband, and Me.

Nikki gets more than she bargained for in Seize the Doctor when the hot guy she recently met at a bar walks into her exam room wearing a white coat. Good thing she wore her sexiest lingerie.

Today on The Doctor Is In we get to meet three hunky physicians from Kate Allure’s soon to be released [or just released] erotic romance anthology Playing Doctor—because the only thing sexier than one Alpha doctor is three!

In Playing Doctor, you'll meet young, blond, and movie-star handsome Courtney Sinclair in the summer romance “The Intern.” Next is the spicy ménage “My Doctor, My Husband, and Me,” with Luka Czerny—a surgeon with thick lustrous black hair, just the hint of a sexy foreign accent, and a bedside manner like warm honey. And then there is Hunter Sterling—think Greek god gorgeous but with a friendly boy-next-door personality—who finds true love in “Seize the Doctor.” Where else but in Playing Doctor can you take three sexy doctors to bed with you?

Until then, get to know them in our interview series, The Doctor Is In, where today we ask: What are your thoughts on bondage? A playful way to spice up sex or is it a no-go for you?

Dr. Hunter Sterling: I…umm. Can you repeat the question?...Umm…bondage? I’ve threatened, jokingly, to restrain Nikki, but I’ve never actually tried that. I guess I’d like to, and I think she might be open to it. I enjoy, umm…“playing doctor” with her, you know examining her and teasing her. Perhaps restraining and using a blindfold might heighten the experience, but I would never do something that she didn’t want. It would never be true bondage—just fun play.

Court Sinclair: I haven’t really tried that either. I mostly like to give verbal direction. I get so lost in the moment, lost in the woman…Lauren…that I find myself becoming quite...controlling and dominant, but with words. Telling her what to do and how I want it. And you’d be surprised how pliant a woman can become with the right encouragement. Mmmm, I think that’s all I’m going to say about that.

Dr. Luka Czerny: We’ve tried bondage just a little, in a playful way, and I won’t mince words, I liked it a lot. If you aren’t already aware, I’m in a ménage a trois relationship…they’re a married couple where I serve as Valerie’s third. But one night, Elliot and I turned the tables and put a collar on Valerie, telling her she was going to be our sex slave for the evening. Later we tied her to the bed. So that night, she was the one…serving us. Yes, I definitely liked it.

Excerpt from – “Seize the Doctor”

At the door to her apartment building, they lingered and talked more while holding hands and looking into each other’s eyes. Hunter gently caressed her hand, making small swirling circles with his thumb on the soft pad of her palm. Nikki seemed as aroused as he was, her eyes dilated and her breath coming in short little pants. He very much wanted to kiss her and hoped she would let him. Nikki swayed toward him, and his arm came around to support the small of her back, gently pulling her against his body.

“May I kiss you good night?” he asked in a low, husky voice.

“Mmm, yes,” she replied, melting into him and tilting her face upward.

His heart pounding, Hunter slowly lowered his mouth to meet hers, just the gentlest sweeping touch on her lips. His breath caught in his throat as he stood wanting and needing more. Deepening the kiss, Hunter crushed her tightly to him and stroked her lips with his tongue. He was burning with desire and wondered for perhaps the hundredth time this evening if she was wearing those so-sexy underthings. Oh, how he would love to see them on her, to slowly peel them off her body and explore her with his tongue. Thinking that he was getting dangerously carried away, he started to pull back, but then Nikki parted her lips and welcomed his kiss into her mouth. Hunter pulled her even more tightly to him.

He could taste Nikki now, the subtle flavor of her mixed with the tangy beer they had consumed with dinner. The press of her breasts to his chest, her peaked nipples pressing into him, sent a shooting thrill throughout his body. His hand ached to reach up and caress her there. Before he got carried away, Hunter started to release her, but Nikki reached up and put her arms around his neck, pulling him back to her and deepening the kiss.

It felt so good, so hot. Hunter reveled in the sensations and the awareness that this gorgeous woman wanted him as much as he wanted her. His bulging erection pressed into her belly, and he could barely stop himself from rubbing it against her. Instead, he ended the kiss and stepped firmly away, feeling unstable, as if he might lose control and yank her back, and then nothing would be able to stop him from finishing what they were starting. He needed to get away quickly. He didn’t want to ruin things now.

“This was a terrific evening. Thank you,” Hunter said, turning away quickly, worried that Nikki might try to restart the kiss. Very much wanting her to do just that.

“I enjoyed it too. Bye,” Nikki responded, still leaning toward him.

“Thank you again. I’ll call you soon,” he said as he resolutely walked away.

     Hunter felt young and carefree…
