OMG what can I say?! A-MA-I-ZIN'!! There is action, suspense, and excitement in this book. As well as rushes of adrenaline for those NASCAR fans.

Gail "Jimmy" James, being the best qualified mechanic Winston (team owner) could find after the dead of his head mechanic and a female at that, has a hard time being accepted by her team mates. Then strange things started to happened and her experience is called into question. But when a threatening note appears on her tool box that is when things go from "rookie mistake" to serious matters.

Rex Henderson, driver of No. 14 and resident hunk, is attracted to Jimmy from the beginning but his racing comes first as his only desire is to owe his own team. But when problems start to come to the surface where they point to mechanical in nature he is put to the test on the faith he has for Gail. Also it comes to the light (at least to HIS light) how he truly feels for her.

I really liked this book and that even when it was a romantic book not all was focused on the romance.

The only thing I was disappointed on was that I guessed who was behind all fairly quick. But overall I loved the story. It was something new, different and refreshing.

Review: Breaking Free by Cherise Sinclair

Breaking Free
by Cherise Sinclair
Series: Masters of the Shadowlands (#3)
Published by: Loose ID
June 2nd 2009
Genre: Contemporary Romance, BDSM
Format: eBook

Rating: 5 Stars

I'm thinking this is my fave book (so far) and I have to commend Beth for try to overcome her fears even if she went about it the wrong (safe) way. I have to also applaud Master Nolan for being a persistent SOB.

The only thing the I have to really agree with and that got to me was the fact that if Elizabeth had being upfront with Nolan what went down with Kyler could have being prevented. But we are humans and sometimes think that what we do and say is the right thing even when it's not.

I loved that final scene between Beth and Nolan ^_^ and can't wait to read the next one so see ya...

Review: Shoulda Been a Cowboy by Lorelei James

Can someone tell me where is Lorelei's going to appear next? I swore if she made another great story I was going to stalk her!! :) I love military men. Add to it my fave genre (western) and I'm in heaven. Although Cam is left with a physical reminder of what happened to him on while in the force he is by no means less of a man. Couple with those McKay genes and you get one hot, "cowboy" deputy and sex to talk about.

I can say that Lorelei knows how to put up a good story that entertain you and leaves you wanting more. I can't wait for the next McKay to come and sweep me away to la la hot land!!

Review: Teenagers by Samantha Steele

by Samantha Steele
Series: Alaska Teen
Published by: Samantha Steele

Genre: Paranormal, Young Adult
Format: eBook

Rating: 3 Stars

At first I was a bit lost in the plot of the story and how it was put together. That been said about a quarter into the book I finally got what was going on. But it wasn't until two thirds into it that it really got my attention.

It isn't very often that you come across an author who uses their really REAL life experiences to write a book with a twist here and there. I liked how it all came to and how Samantha Steele got around to write the others point of view.

Something a didn't liked was the fact that so much time came and went with nothing meaningful going on. Also at the beginning the hasty explanation of who she was, how she got there and some parts of the past.

I think the prologue should have being the epilogue instead. Meaning the explanation of who they really were and what was their true purpose. Right after Zac's epilogue scene. But overall I liked the story and I wound definitively like to read what comes next for this characters.

Here we have Vicks story. She is struggling to come to terms with her past and move forward with her future. But as her dream to turn the Crocked Creek Ranch into a spa in within her grasp, old doubts arise and have her second guessing her intentions and her solid plans. And when her past comes knocking at the front door she will be forced to look deep within herself to find the answers she has being missing.

Eli, cowboy hunk and CCR foreman, gets his tush kick out of the job for being inappropriate with the boss lady. But what he didn't know was that be Tori firing him she has given him the key to a new happy life. Now he just has to keep his heart behind solid walls of steel and enjoy his chemistry between them for all to be good in his life. But when he realizes he might not come out of the relationship unscratched it's time to put the cards on the table and let the ships fall where they may.

On the other end of this 1 + 1 equation is Celeste, Victoria's brother's mother. As the plans to the spa come together there is one carpenter that has the stoic, mild mannered ex-model, ruffled and acting like a teenager. But as she is old she fights this attraction tooth and nails to the younger viking. What she doesn't know is that when love is in your way there is no storm big enough to blow it away.

Between this two love stories we get to see how much struggle two completely different women fight in a world that has wrong them to be happy and find their purpose in life. No matter if you are young or old love can be found if you let it in. But some times we must forgive our past, face our present and plan our future for happiness to find us. And the mistakes of our ancestors should not define our lives.

I much liked this story and can NOT wait for Madelyn and Billy's book called "Crazy Thing Called Love"
