After been kidnapped by the Xerexians, in order to secure a surrender from the Earth Federation, Lara finds herself running through the jungle of Utuja with her rescuer Vartan. But something about the escape doesn't sit well with Vartan. It's to easy and there is no battalion of armed men after them.

As they make their way to Vartan's spaceship their passion ignites and in a secluded cave they give free rain to it with no promises of beyond their time on Utuja. But of course it doesn't go that way and they fall in love but can't admit it.

Their intimate moments were full of heat and heart. Even the passionate ones. I liked this story very much and think it was a good second book to the series. I just think that the series could use a few more books and the author could use some of the secondary characters like the servant that Tamara was jealous of in Contract to Pleasure.

I first discovered Ednah through her pseudonym E.B. Walters and her Adult series the Fitzgerald Family. I soon looked her up to see how many books and/or series she'd written. That's how I found her YA series The Guardian Legacy which had Awakened, the prequel, and was about to released Betrayed. I've been following her since and when I read that she was starting a new series I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Needless to say when I saw it on Netgalley I had to have it.

I can only say wow. This author keep impressing me. I keep saying that I don't like 1st person POV, but really if authors could learn to write like this I wouldn't mind. I can count in the palm of one hand the authors who I'll read work on 1st person POV and Ednah is one.

You are so immerse in the plot that you won't ask yourself 'what is this character thinking?'. The story and the characters are well developed I really wouldn't change anything. This story is so different from others I've read. I can honestly say I can't wait to read the next one and see what is in store for Raine and Torin. I mean who wouldn't want to know what's next with that ending? Seriously what's wrong with those three 'beaches'(intentionally misspelled)?

I have to say wow! It was a really interesting read.

Some parts I didn't understood crap (hey I'm not a fashionista) or know who she was talking about (well I'm not from the US) but the story was good and even though it was in the span of a few days there were so many things going on that in my mind it had gone longer.

I really like Massi and how even though he was a Prince and people see them all perfect and such he wasn't exempt to gossip and to making mistakes.

I also liked her friend (sorry not remembering here right now) the PR owner. She is such a bitch ^_^ Oh and the accidental scene with Rocco...mmmm...yeah...suddenly hot in here!

I cannot wait to see what is next in store for this Manhattanites.

This was a really different kind of book. Yeah we had goddesses and we had demons but the story line was something new and refreshing for me. I loved the way the romance was built from beneath the ground up.

There was always something unexpected around the corner. Some books are predictable for me but this one kept me guessing all along, from beginning to end. Also loved the different POV's, it kept the book interesting.

I felt sorry for Blade but I got my heart happy where he's concerned by the end and I can't wait for his book! If there is a third book I'm already cheering for someone! ^_^

Review: Cowgirl Up and Ride by Lorelei James

Cowgirl Up and Ride
by Lorelei James
Series: Rough Riders (#3)
Published by: Samhain Publishing
March 18th 2008
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Format: eBook

Rating: 5 Stars

In this third installment of the Lorelei James' Rough Riders series after being in love with Cord since a very young age Amy Joe Foster or AJ is determined now to win the heart of a man who has sworn off love after his first wife abandoned him and their child. She has prepared for a night in Cord's bed for years but she's still a virgin. I know how crazy is that! What she doesn't know is that the reality is SO much better than the fantasy.

After fighting a loosing battle in which he wishes to still see AJ as a girl Cord has to come to the realization that the woman in his bed is very different from his first wife and has already stolen his heart without him even knowing it.

This book has cement my believe that this series is going to be one of my favorite ones. Not just because I love cowboys, although to tell the truth I've never seen one in real life (lol), but because it gives you a variety of loves and stories that reach deep in your heart and just makes you wish you were one of the main characters.
