In this book we have Tom-a reclusive, angry man that's trying to accept his past mistakes and failing miserably-and Alex or Lexie-who has being planing all her life to cross the Trans AM. Lexi for being a woman is having some trouble finding a riding partner to cross from the shores of the pacific ocean to Yorkshire's shore on the Atlantic. When she puts an add looking for a partner and "Tom" answers to "Alex" she has no idea that both of them has being deceiving and deceived. It was Tom's sister Taryn that answer the add for fear her brother have an accident on the road an no body knows and maybe for other reasons?

After an unpleasant beginning to their journey things take a turn for the better and as the miles go by Tom and Lexie develop more that a companionship but neither is willing to accept it as it is which leads to some mistakes and stupid decisions. But in the end not even they could fight against the Trans AM magic.

The story is a really good one but my favorite part? "Sometimes penance helps. My dad had the pie" I think this is the crucial moment of the book and it's also the one who brought tears to my eyes. I think forgiveness of self is the first step to spiritual healing and those words were the ones that made Tome take the necessary action to grab happiness by both hands and take it back to Oregon on top of a bike!
